USB device not recognised when device plugged in!

Am getting this problem with windows xp!! When i insert my mp4 player, a popup shows this! It says the USB device cannot be recognised..or something like that!! wft!?? Sometime it works, and sometime it shows this crazy message!! :@

Just download and install the driver! Or check if you have it in your cd..

When i bought it the guy said that it should work with windows xp and that no additional driver is required!!

Sometimes if you plug a USB device into a USB port it may not be recognised, as in windows will popup a message saying device plugged into an unrecognised port etc. This had my mate going nuts as it happened to him, well for the sake of other if this is happening to them there is a fix. It's a case of turning off your PC at the mains plug for around 60 seconds. This then "Should" of then fixed the USB issue. I don't really know why it works but it does seem to as a few people had this issue and this fix has worked. I think it might be due to the fact older types of motherboards don't discharge the current or something.
